JULY 26, 2008 – WORK WEEK?

Fly-tying genius and salad-making extraordinaire Dave LoSapio had his lovely wife and daughter up to check out the camp.  What a week!  We were busy trimming, staining, sawing, whittling, plumbing, you name it, even installing a new floor.  Amidst the work we still managed to get Carol and Sara out for a couple days of fishing.  We started off by picking some fresh silvers out of a very small creek.  Tens of thousands of pinks were running this even year, and the silvers began to mix in during this week.  We caught about one silver for every ten pinks, but they were worth it.

The next day we left the pinks behind and headed farther upstream.  Sara and Carol both found some nice Grayling and Sara got a beautiful 25inch Dolly Varden, easily out-fishing her guide and father!  Enough time was saved in the evening for relaxing in the tub.  Thanks so much to Carol and Sara for coming up and helping us kick off the season.  And thanks for lending Dave to us for five weeks; we couldn’t do it without him.
