We have created a comfortable yet rustic retreat for your Alaska adventure at our property just a short drive north of Nome. Our site includes three cabins on private property right alongside the Snake River at the base of the Twin Peaks, where you can see salmon spawning and grayling and dolly varden vying for position late in the summer. It’s a comfortable, quiet place to relax and a great base for a wide variety of fishing opportunities just out the door and minutes away in the helicopter. We accommodate six guests per week: Two in each of the smaller cabins, and two upstairs in the main cabin.
Our Cabins
Main Cabin
Our main cabin has 800 square feet of interior space, a large outdoor deck, and a screen porch bar. Downstairs is the combined kitchen, dining, and living area, and is where breakfast and dinner are served. Upstairs we have a view landing in front of large, west-facing windows for spotting game and enjoying the scenery. A shared open room upstairs has 4 beds which can be configured to accommodate 2-4 people in twin beds or converted to a king bed for a couple. The main cabin features an oil stove for heat if needed and a small generator-solar system with standard, limited electricity. Running hot/cold water is provided from our well. An indoor hot shower and outdoor, wood-fired cedar hot tub await you at the end of your day of fishing. The “facilities” consist of two outhouses located close by.
Two Guest Cabins
Our two smaller, 200 square foot guest cabins are located right next door for private sleeping accommodation for two people each. The two beds can also be converted to a king bed for a couple. The cabins are outfitted with an oil stove for heat and battery-powered lamps for late in the season when it starts to get dark at night. The main cabin is just across the yard where you will meet for breakfast, dinner, and have access to the bar, shower, and hot tub. The “facilities” consist of two outhouses located close by.
Amenities
MEALS
In addition to guiding your daily fishing, our guides will prepare all your meals. Expect full hot breakfasts of French press coffee, eggs, bacon, sausage, Swedish pancakes, juice, cereal, fruit, and yogurt. A big, tasty sandwich will be made for you to carry to the river along with a full assortment of snacks, coffee, tea, cider, and hot chocolate. But save up for dinner because we serve Bering Sea halibut, king crab, and your fresh catch of salmon. We also plan on steak, pork tenderloin, Italian, and Mexican nights to round out the week. Sometimes we score a homemade blueberry pie for dessert! And of course, let us know of any special dietary requests in advance and we will take care of those as well.
